Lavender essential oil is known for its calming properties, which makes it a great stress reliever. Add 1-3 drops in the palm of your hands and rub them together briskly. Place your hands a few inches away from your nose and inhale. Take some deep breaths.
Using lavender at bedtime provides the deep relaxation your body and mind need to sleep soundly. Place your diffuser in your bedroom and add 3-5 drops 15-20 minutes before going to bed to allow the essential oil to fill the room.
For minor burns, lavender makes a great first-aid remedy. It helps reduce the sting and heat from the skin. Apply 1-2 drops on the skin to the area affected.
Lavender essential oil not only calms and soothes the skin, it helps to reduce swelling, irritation and support the skin in healing from minor cuts and wounds. Apply a drop to the affected area a few times a day.
