Essential oils are Mother Natures way of sharing the healing power of flowers and plants. They can be used in several ways and can be of great influence in our daily life and can contribute to a more conscious lifestyle and healthy way of living. One of its uses can be the to the relief of tension and stress. In times were a lot of people experience tension and stress essential oils can offer a natural solution to experience more peace and relaxation. As a world nation, we are becoming more burned and stressed out and essential oils can be a natural tool to relax on a physical, mental and emotional level.
Nowadays a lot of people experience tension or stress on a daily basis. Their busy lives, the many responsibilities and the fading of personal boundaries can create tension which can ultimately lead to stress, fatigue, anxiety disorders and burnout. With the help of essential oils, one can relax the body and mind in a natural and soothing way. To do so one can choose an essential oil that has a calming and soothing effect on the body and mind. One can use Lavender for a soothing effect and a composition of Ylang Ylang, Roman Chamomile, Clary Sage and Orange for a calming effect. A more refreshing composition of essential oils can be a composition of Vetiver, Geranium, Melisse, Sandalwood, Bergamot and Rose.
To experience the calming, soothing or refreshing effect of the essential oil or the composition of essential oils one can use a diffuser by adding some drops of the essential oil(s) to water. Another way of using essential oils is by adding some drops of the essential oil or the composition of oils on your sleeping cushion before falling asleep. You can also add 5-6 drops of oil or the composition of essential oils in 30 ml of water and spray it on your cushion(s), bed sheet(s), curtains or in your bedroom. By doing so you may experience the deep calming, soothing and refreshing effect of these gifts of nature. And before going to bed you can also take a relaxing bath by adding 1-3 drops of the soothing essential oil to your bath water. You can also add some bath salt.
If you are hesitant about which essential oil(s) to use just use the oil(s) that resonates with you when you smell them. It’s your systems way of telling you that you may use it/them and that it’s/they are beneficial for your wellbeing. Be aware that good quality essential oils are highly concentrated. Before using them always check on allergies.
